So many wonderful things . .

I've been very quite here, and for good reason ~
allow me share with you my fun!

First, my daughter and her husband are expecting
their baby toward the end of this month.
There is actually a "pool" going on in the family around
the due date ~ nobody wins anything except the
pleasure of having been right!

Second, my daughter-in-law is pregnant too!
She and my son expect their little
bundle of joy around the first part of April.

Two grandbabies within months of each other!
Who could ask for more!!!!

Yes, these are my first grandchildren :o)
and I will have a granddaughter & a grandson.

I will make sure to post when these great events take place.

Have a wonderful evening/day and thanks for "listening."

Cross Advertising!!!

Some of you already know about me and my business Elizabeth's Creations. Elizabeth's Creations has been around since 1998 and like so many businesses, it has changed, grown, evolved over the years.

I know this is my Zentangle Blog, but I am taking liberties here by advertising for ONE of the other "components" of my business which is Quilling and Husking. The other, by the way, is FeltWork.

So . . . without further ado ~

They are finally here!
These templates are now available to purchase
through www.elizabethscreations.com

All EC Husking Card Templates are in the form of an E-Pattern. What this means is that when your payment is confirmed, an e-mail will be sent to you with the e-pattern as an attachment. You will print the template from your own computer! No more waiting for the mail and NO shipping costs!

"Charmed"

I have had MORE fun today designing.
Today has been zipper pull day.
Now I say zipper pull, but the fact is that these are
great "charms" measuring 1-1/2" squares and can also be used
to decorate a purse, embellish a wall hanging,
used as a bookmark ~ just to name a few!
I've put a clasp on the "charm" (giving it an overall length of 4-1/2"),
but it can be removed. The print is of a pumpkin
that I designed and tangled ~ so everything is hand-made by me.
The pumpkin can be seen on both sides and has
been mounted between two pieces of glass.

What a great gift!
This can be purchased through EC Studio Designs
at www.etsy.com/shop/ECStudioDesigns

Way too much fun!

I don't mind telling you ~
I'm having way too much fun!

I LOVE Autumn!

This is my absolute favorite time of the year!
I love everything Autumn ~ even the word Autumn is yummy!
So, it goes without saying that I'm having
a blast making cards ~ here is one of them.

I know you can't see it, but I have lined
the center of this pumpkin with
Sakura's Gelly Roll, Copper Star.
If you haven't used these pens you are
missing out. They are fabulous!

Halloween Card

I know it's early! but I was looking for a certain pen and going
through drawers in my studio when I happened upon
this card. I don't throw ANYTHING out which turns out
to be a good thing. This card was begging to be tangled!

Measure black card stock 4-1/2" x 9" ~ fold in half.
Frame a 3-1/2" square white piece of card stock with Halloween ribbon.
The ribbon is really quite orange ~ not dull as shown here.
Secure to front of folded card. Tangle!

Took my time to tell you!

Okay ~ so the suspense got to you!
Here I told you to come back and I would tell you why
Friday the 13th was such a GREAT day!

Well, my daughter, Michele, got married!
No, unfortunately, I did not get to go to the wedding,
she and James, my son-in-law, live in Minnesota. We
are so happy for their union ~ James is such a wonderful
addition to our ever-growing family!

This is the Zentangle I did when Michele and James
moved to MN earlier this year. She would call me as
they traveled and this is what it "looked" like to me.
Michele said that it looks like she felt!

Getting back in the swing . . .

After two very busy months I am back now ~ in full force!
I realized that although the work I was doing was very important,
(I am a volunteer with the American Legion Auxiliary
and Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary),
it is equally, if not more important to make sure that body and mind
are being nurtured and taken care of.

Having said that, I am relaxing back into tangling.
It feels so good to enjoy this wonderful art of Zentangle!

Enjoy your day!

It's been a while . . .

Well, it's been a while since I last posted ~ very busy life!!

It's kind of fun looking at your finished work
and finding a "picture" or "image."
To me this is a sailboat, wind and water ~ hmmm,
wonder what the experts would say about that!

see some simple variations of tangles.

So here is a tangle variation of Crescent Moon & Hollibaugh.

I've created a separate page just for
Tangle Variations ~ click the link to the left.

More about ME!

I feel so egocentric!

I found out today that my website ~ Elizabeth's Creations ~ has been
hit with a very serious virus and so I have said goodbye to it!

Instead I have created another blog titled
Elizabeth's Creations Studio AND you can
find it by clicking here.

I hope you will enjoy my other side ~
as if you couldn't tell ~ I love to design!!!!!

So have fun ~ tell lots of people and become a follower!

Inspiration

I love to look at other people's artwork.

Although this is my Zentangle, it was
inspired by the creative genius of Jella

What a GREAT Experience!

I've been in contact with a wonderful person by the
name of Julia, who just happens to be the
Marketing Manager at Sakura Color Products of America!
(You know ~ the folks who make that
wonderful Micron pen we all use and love!)
She asked if I might be interested in teaching
Zentangles to the employees at Sakura . . .
I said YES!!!!!

I asked my daughter-in-law, McCall (who is also a CZT),
to work with me.
Our classroom was at the local park.

McCall at the easel.

Their finished Zentangles!

We had so much fun and they are an awesome group of people.

what better way to relax, stay warm and think of the wonderful
weekend I just shared with my family.

Handles

Just playing around today.
The drawers and cabinets in my
studio needed some sprucing up.
I purchased the hardware and I used
a Porcelaine 150 pen by pebeo to create
my tangles. Fun, fun, fun!

Postcard Swap

I had great fun being involved in a postcard swap just recently!
Below are a couple of postcards I sent out.

These cards are 4 x 6.

If you are ever invited to be part of a swap ~ atc's or postcards ~
you should seriously consider it!
The process is wonderful and you learn so much by doing it.
PLUS you receive beautiful art from other tanglers.
